In April 2020 I started working with one of Melbourne’s largest air-conditioning and heating companies called Dale Air. The website was approx. 80 pages and their main services pages were all hard-coded with a combination of Wordpress blog pages and AMP pages for suburb based searches like “St Kilda Air Conditioning”. Overall the website was in need of a re-fresh and so I migrated the whole site to Wordpress and used Beaver Builder page builder to build out the site alongside using stock photography imagery. The whole project was approx. 40 hours work and allowed me to improve the functionality of the site alongside key on-page SEO principles like page titles, meta descriptions, internal link structure etc.

The Google Ads campaign had previously been managed by an agency which hadn’t given the campaign much attention and so with a combination of improved ad copy, campaign / ad group / keyword structure alongside better use of extensions with a new and improved website I was able to improve results by the following:

From August 2018 to June 2019 I was employed by Brown Family Wine Group as a Digital Communications Manager for a contract period of 10 months.

Main Responsibilities:

  • My number one priority when I arrived at Brown Brothers was to ensure the smooth launch of 4 new consumer facing websites for Brown Brothers, Devil’s Corner, Innocent Bystander and Tamar Ridge. The sites were developed using WordPress CMS (Visual Composer page builder) and e-commerce by WooCommerce allowing management of the sites to sit internally within the marketing teams.

  • The template driven site designs are below and whilst I had my concerns over the designs, I was able to work with Emote Digital to develop custom landing pages (Weddings, Tours & Experiences) etc. I also personally designed the Tamar Ridge website in photoshop as the brand was going through a refresh with an Art & Science theme that the existing template didn’t suit.

Weddings Landing Page

I designed the below page in photoshop so that it would stack neatly on mobile and also improve our lead conversion rate. There was previously no ongoing digital campaign to support weddings at Brown Brothers in Milawa, so I activated a paid search and social campaign to drive highly targeted traffic to the below page.

Patricia Range landing page

The Patricia landing page was specifically designed and developed to highlight the launch of the 15th Patricia Range of wines which is Brown Brothers flagship range. EDM / paid search and paid social campaigns were launched to help promote the range to highly targeted traffic to drive awareness and e-commerce sales.

Promoting Key Events at Cellar Door

Facebook and Instagram ads were used to targeted audiences to drive awareness and event sales for key flagship events at the Milawa Cellar Door.

Instagram Accounts

In the role I was responsible for managing a social media coordinator to ensure content plans were developed and executed across Brown Brothers / Devil’s Corner & Tamar Ridge brands. I also reported to Brand Managers on engagement levels around different types of content i.e. wine styles, events, influencer engagement etc. to ensure learnings were shared across the business.
