March 2020 to Current - Freelance Digital Marketing - Three Peaks Digital

Responsibilities: 

  • Digital strategist for a number of service based businesses and DTC E-Commerce brands including Dale Air, Shingleback Off Road, eStore Logistics, Stockman Products, Kerfton Campers, Apiam Animal Health, Hill Street Grocer, The Gourmet Pantry, Optitec and more.

  • Paid media strategy execution across Google Ads, META Ads and LinkedIn.

  • Managing & optimising paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook, Bing and Outbrain to drive student recruitment and promotion of learn to fly experiences. 

  • Project managing the delivery of a new consumer facing website with our external digital agency (Please note the business fell victim to Covid-19 and was placed in voluntary administration on December 28th, 2020 and the website has since been removed).

Aug 18 to June 19 - Digital Communications Manager (Contract) - Brown Family Wine Group

Responsibilities: 

  • Project managed the delivery of 4 new e-commerce enabled websites for Brown Brothers / Innocent Bystander / Tamar Ridge & Devil’s Corner. Responsibilities covered everything from UX, content, analytics, SEO etc. 

  • Managing digital agency relationships across web based UX improvements (Emote Digital) and paid media (DentsuX) 

  • Establishing and optimising paid search/social campaigns to support cellar door visitation and site based experiences i.e. King Valley Ballooning Festival, Weddings in Milawa etc. 

  • Managing 1x social media coordinator to ensure content plans were developed and executed across Brown Brothers / Devil’s Corner & Tamar Ridge brands. 

  • Working with brand managers to ensure ATL campaigns were integrated into owned digital assets. 

  • Reporting on digital improvements across paid/owned and earned media.

  • Successfully rolled out 4 brand new websites on time and on budget. 

  • Setup and optimised extensive paid search and social campaigns to drive cellar door visitation.

Apr 2014 to April 2018    Coles Financial Services - Digital Advertising Planner

Responsibilities: 

  • Managing digital acquisition & budgets across the key channels of SEM, SEO, display, paid social & affiliates to meet aggressive CPA targets across CFS and Coles Online.

  • Manage agency relationships at OMD and Signal to ensure external stakeholders delivered best practise direct response campaigns. 

  • Manage creative agency relationships to ensure digital campaign assets are created and integrated with broader campaign messaging. 

  • Creating A/B and multivariate test plans with the channel team to improve online conversion rates across all key paid media channels. 

  • Responsible for the creation and execution of the SEM/SEO strategy and advising the broader business of best practise search marketing strategies. 

  • Other tasks including managing weekly WIPs, mentoring graduates and weekly reporting of digital results in internal sales meetings. 

Achievements: 

  • Managed transition of digital display buying from UM to internal Coles programmatic team.

  • Project managed the SEO migration from colescreditcards.com.au & colesinsurance.com.au to financialservices.coles.com.au 

  • Identified and setup the first cross-sell campaign that targets Coles Online consumers when they search for credit cards in Google. This initiative lowered our CPA by 25%.

  • Improved credit card conversion rates by 30% across SEM and affiliates  with the use of channel specific dedicated landing pages. 

  • Managed the Coles wide transition from Sizmek ad server to DoubleClick  when Coles moved from UM to OMD in July 2016. 

Mar 2011 to Sep 2013    OMD – Digital Director

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring total client satisfaction across the entire range of performance media channels offered by OMD. 

  • Direct management of two Search Managers and two Search Executives across 20 clients to deliver performance marketing campaigns aligned to the clients overall communications strategy. 

  • Producing and presenting data insights and digital strategies to existing clients and participating in new business pitches. 

  • Managing publisher relationships with Google, Yahoo and Bing to ensure consistently high service levels were maintained. 

  • Developing and delivering internal team training and operational processes to improve team knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Following industry leading websites on performance media and web analytics to ensure knowledge of all new products/tools was up to date.  

  • Other responsibilities included recruitment, performance management, managing the P&L and award writing.

  • Founding member of OMD’s search team and grew this to 6 in a 2.5 year period. 

  • Promoted to Digital Director after 1 year.
